Study Team

Our study team at Cardiff University includes health professionals, researchers, and patient and public involvement representatives who all bring different experiences and expertise to the project.

Rhiannon Phillips is the lead researcher for the STAR Study.

She is a psychologist with an interest in improving health and quality of life for people with chronic health problems. 

Denitza Williams is the study manager for the STAR Study.

She has a particular interest in communication and making shared decisions in health care settings.

Aimee Grant is leading the qualitative part of the STAR Study, where we are using interactive ways gathering women’s stories about their experiences.

Adrian Edwards is Professor of General Practice and Co-Director of the Division of Population Medicine at Cardiff University.

He is also the Director of PRIME Centre Wales.

Ernest Choy is the consultant rheumatologist on the STAR Study project.

Ann Taylor is a reader in the School of Medicine at Cardiff University.

 

Julia Sanders is a reader in Midwifery in the School of Healthcare Sciences at Cardiff University.

Shantini Paranjothy is Professor of Preventive Medicine at Cardiff University.

Bethan Pell is a researcher on the STAR Study project.

 

Helen Stanton is a research assistant at Cardiff University.

 

Daniel Huw Bowen is a research assistant on the STAR Study project.
